Great idea this, Feel free to add any info you can think of, and I will update it to the top of this thread.
#1, John Eddy. See #51, Jason Eggins. John has borrowed his car as Jason has gone OS.
#2, Ben Singleton. Bought from the Crompton Family, originally a Chris & Lauren Donnelly car.
#6, Michael Dawes. Original Cole Parker car, then bought by Cam Wilson, then James Faneco, then Benn Wilson and onto Mick. #7, Bec Dawes. Built as new by the Dawes Family.
#8, Nick Lange. Original Danielle Agiro car.
#9, Gerry Van de Linde. Gerry is just about to race this car for the first time. Bought from David McNab, who purchased it from Craig English.
#10, Melissa Thompson. This car was bought from Kandice Walker, who never raced it. Kandice purchased the car from Kris Walton. Car was first raced by Bruce Dummit
#12, Barry Tanton. Original Craig Yates car.
#14, Paul Hibberd. Bought from Mia Kosenko, previous owner was Shane Bradford.
#15, Ray Conner. Bought from Darren Shule.
#17, Ben Tomlin. Bought from Kandice Walker.

#88, Gavin Pates. Bought from "Job's On", was raced by Matt Ogrady, Renae Cole, Pete Faneco, Mick Arnold. Previous history slightly unknown. We bought it from a guy in early 04 who had it for 5 years (Unraced) Was only raced in 1997 previous to that.
#97, Trevor Brown. Original Radspeed/Dawson car.
#99, Russ Brunker. Bought from Steve Wall, who purchased it from?
#TBA, Brendan Yates. The car built originally by Woelders/Kidd. Then Michelle Lawson, Dawson, last owner being Chris Lloyd. Yates now also owns the original Brad Searle car, and also the orange Gemini that was once raced by Mr Dawson's wife I believe.
#TBA, Bruce Dummit. Now has the original Nerida Stark car in his shed, in preparation for the end of this year.
#TBA, Matt Picken. Bought the original Scott Paltridge Car, but is going for a re:shell. Car was last raced by Jack Elsegood.

#RIP, 3 of the 5 Geminis Scott Nicholas raced.
There is a start, plenty more info required, anyone?

#RIP, 3 of the 5 Geminis Scott Nicholas raced.HAHAHAHA, that's not nice!! #2 Back, back, back in the day I believe this car was glued together from two different pieces. Truth or lie? #8 If it was an Argiro car, does that make it an ex-Darra machine, or was that car wrecked somewhere along the lines? #9 Ex-English, does that make it ex-Sarah Corness? #12 This would have been the original green machine that was first ever run by Russell, Yatsey's mechanic once at the end of a season that seems a long time ago now... #14 I think Sharyn Wood had it for a while in there, was there anyone else? #15 Ex-Suhle, I think that makes it ex-Croston, ex-Daryll Searle (who's doing well these days in a Clubman at Mt Cotton). If that's the case, a very good, multiple winning car, from before old man Searle had it. #17 Kandice's original car was the ex-Heffernan silver machine. Did this car last over the years? #72 I think Nick has had it from new.... and ask Nick some time how many of the panels on it are original after all these years! Nerida's car was originally raced by Kyle Organ-Moore. ....then again, I may be grossly misinfomed. How about a MIA Gemini section? That sounds like another thread!

#12 if that was originally Yatsey's green machine, I think Woodduck raced it at one point.
On the subject of Kyle Organ-Moore, his current car is ex-Scott Scala, ex-Willy Taylor.

Very good obe-whan walker and CW... I think being a bit of a gemini nut from a young age I may be able to add a bit or two to this little thread of yours CW.... 'ere we go.. # 2 - This was Lauren's race car from 96-99, and Chris had a run in it for the first two or three rounds of 2000, and then it went AWOL. Not sure who they bought it off, but CD might be able to complete the story for us at the next QRDA meeting. The Wood ducks first race gem, was actually Chris' car from 95 and Brad Searles from 96, then I bought it and ran it until 97 and f*cked it and she went to sims, of which the running gear went into wood - duck mark 2, of which is now the eggins mobile. Mark I think my one was the two into one trick a dee.... given the interior was two different colours.... # 6 - That bloody yellow thing we all chased like mad in 2000...... original built by Cole parker and then made legal by cam and the boys. Has since seen some burner action. # 8 - a cold gold on this one from mark rawker. If this is the argiro car then this is scott darra's 97 championship winner i am pretty sure. I think when danielle was learning it visited the lakeside armco several times but pretty sure she survived ( the car that is ) Scott ran it t ATCC round 98 and then sold it to the argiro's. # 9 - Ex - english mobile. I don't think this is the cornetto car , as a am pretty sure that is the car that kaye woodward turned into a hatchback at ATCC 98. this one was certainly a quit car but am not sure where it came from.. #12 - the tantrum mobile was built from new by gary yates in mid 98 from memory and was piloted by Craig yates to the 99 championship in northfield colours. Bought by barry tanton in 2000 to replace the ex-Jason Simes car destroyed at round one 2000 in accident with graham fryer. # 14 Built new by Shane Bradford for 97 or 98 season from memory to replace his ex-quit car after a roll over at the karussel at lakeside. Was quite potent in the 98 series with several podiums. bought by mia and then wasn't seen for a while.. Sharon Wood is no relation ! # 15 - this one is a bewdy. hold onto your hats folks.... If this is the Croston car. Then it was ex-Darryl Searle who purchased it from the Woelders family in mid 98. and drove it to several podiums in the hotly contested 1998 title. Used by Jon Woelders to win the 1996 championship after it was bought from Craig "born to drive" Harris after he used it to win the 1995 Championship. Harry bought it from Steve Emson who used it to Win the 1994 Championship. This thing should be the trophy for the winner of this year's series !!!!!! christ , what a pedigree.... And to add to this it wasn't once crashed by scott nicholas !!! # 17 - F*cks me where this one came from.... # 22. The bigash mobile. Bought from JE we all know that, but it's previous history is curious. Taking a duck punt, I think that this car is the ex-Peter Kropp car which was built from new by Kev Hayes for Peter to drive in the 1997 championship. Peter held onto it for many years but looking at the cage in the thing i reckon I am close on this one. Maybe JE can confirm for us at next meet ?? Would like to get an answer on that one. # 25. "The rocket". Unstoppable so far in 2005.CW over to you on this one.... # 26. The new jobs on baby... history begins at round 3 2005...nickname pending. # 27. "Betty" Built from new by Sean Rose for Snicko to use in 2000. Is this the car that nikko drove in 2000 to runner's up in that championship CW over to you.. # 32, 33 and 49 - N.F.I..... # 51. "Trigger". Built by Wood duck performance from left overs of wood duck mk 1 ( ex Donnelly car ) and raced by WD 98-2000 3rd in 2000 championship having still got a fair lashing of yellow paint on it from various touches with that rotten number 22 car from 2000. Bought by matt L'estrange and driven 01-02 then sold to BRD for 03 and so it now goes to Big J eggins. Still quick the bloody thing.....In a strange twist, when the car debuted at ATCC 98, it's number was 51.... # 55. Sister car to Wood Duck number 51.Built new by Kev Hayes for Shane "meltdown" melton for the 98 season (used some running gear from the melton 4 door which was then on-sold to Ron Lange and became a front runner !!! ) Raced by Melton during 98 and then sold to BRT and was utilised by nikko until he pranged the thing ( shock !! ) and now sits proudly on mount mee. # 72 - pretty sure nick built and developed this one himself... # 88 - Will have to look at the log book on this one, but I think the bloke you refer to was a Shane Homan who had several runs in 97 before giving it away... # 99. This car was Craig Yates' original gem. Ran as the super cheap entry in 98 and used by craig until mid 99. Used as the back up in 99 before sold to yours truly as a back up to #51 in 2000. I raced it twice before selling it to a bloke called jason...jason.. halliday -that's it. A speedway guy from lismore. Obviously then sold to BRD in 03 ( who curiously then had both duck mobiles from 2000 - poor bastards ) Bloody good car and did do a 7.9 around lakeside one day... # 99. Formally of Job's on stable, this old girl first appeared on the scene in late 96. Built by the woelders/Parker partnership and was gemini racing's answer to the space shuttle and caused quite a stir when it first appeared. driven by chris kidd in rotarybeat colours ( engineered by Phil Laird ) in 97. to this day one of the best gem's ever built. Was then sold to Michelle Lawson who ran it in 98, then sold to rod dawson, and you guys know the rest. Sounds like mr yates did some estute buying. Will be quick ! pheww..... That is my gem brain exhausted !!!! if anyone else has anything to add I am off for a shandy. Woody

After looking in the log book, my car was originally owned by Greg Mammen, then Craig Yates, Gary Yates, Dave Wood (who must have painted it silver/blue), Jason Halliday, Steve Wall then me!!
My cars a "tart" everyones had a ride....LOL

Brilliant stuff there woodduck That was truly great to read. I would say you are about 95% accurate. From what I could add to that.... #15, I tend to think that this was a car he built from scratch (Darren Shule), from the parts of the wrecked 4 door at his first meet. What was that car crashy? #26, Yes, yes it does woody, do it proud #27, No. This was originally a Graham Fryer car in black, that was leased throughout the end of 2000 with Motul stickers on it by Super Service (Cant remember drivers name). It only features the motor from the year you speak of. Funny Story: The car Scott drove to 2nd in 2000, Kenny originally bought, tested and rolled over on his first day at lakeside. They then sent it to the panelbeaters to fix it up. Car was ready to go, "someone picked it up" put it on the trailer, and proceeded to drive over the Gateway Arterial Bridge, only to relise as they were half way up the bridge, that they had forgot to tie the car down. Off the trailer the car went backwards and into a Mercedes. Righting it off. That is then when Kenny purchased the ex: Fryer car, and combined the two cars into one. #88. No, that wasnt the guy. Will check with Gav. (Current Brainfade) #99 part 1. Fark knows? #99 part 2. No. Your thinking of the car Brendan Yates now has. Brunks, your car was originally owned by Mammon ;D, have you found the NOS bottle yet ;D And Halliday painted that thing blue/silver. Which leaves the question, is Eggins car the one you speak off woodduck? Top work lads, keep it up.

#2, Ben Singleton. Bought from the Crompton Family, originally a Chris & Lauren Donnelly car. # 2 - This was Lauren's race car from 96-99, and Chris had a run in it for the first two or three rounds of 2000, and then it went AWOL. Not sure who they bought it off, but CD might be able to complete the story for us at the next QRDA meeting. This one I know a bit about. ;D I first saw and raced against this car back in 1993. First owner was Ken McWha from Bonk's Towing up at Caboolture. Donnelly family purchased in late 1994/early 1995 for Lauren Donnelly to drive. Raced until 1999 by Lauren Donnelly - selected rounds in 2000 by CD. Sold in 2001 to Mal Crompton for his son Ken Crompton to drive (actually swapped for a set of Aluminium Heads for the Falcon ;D ) . I thought it was a pretty good car when we got rid of it, although I'm unsure of whether anyone else owned the car after the Crompton's and prior to Ben Singleton getting hold of it. You're telling the story Crash...... Good solid shell anyway this one was.......

Was quite potent in the 98 series with several podiums. bought by mia and then wasn't seen for a while.. Sharon Wood is no relation ! Another good shell - Shane's first attempt at his own steel cage. As woodduck states, achieved a few podiums and ran regularly in the top ten at Lakeside in Shane's hands in the famous purple livery. Sold to Mia Kosenko who managed to successfully tip it off a trailer at about 100km/h out near Gatton just after she picked it up....... (sorry Mia). Not too much damage thankfully. Also famous for the leopard-skin upholstered seat it had for a while , and the stench of cat p%ss after she left the drivers window down one night under her house..... Mia drove it pretty well, owned it for a few years and I think sold it to Sharyn Wood.

Didn't Fryer write off his black car in that crash with Tanton, Eastern Loop? Fryer then raced a yellow car he had in his back pocket. Did this car become a Super Service mobile, as raced by Dummett et al? The Motul stickered car was driven by a chappie named Shane Ryding. He was going straight to V8 Supercars, but got lost along the way

Slightly off topic Bulldog as it's not a current car, but anyway.....Woodduck, Your first Gemini was built in early 1994 after my first two cars were written off in 1993. It was "one-piece" except for the new roof we had to graft onto it after some wanker at a wrecking yard picked it up with a forklift through the windscreen just prior to us picking it up. Nice effort c$ck I banana'ed it real bad down the RH side in qualifying for the Nov MG meeting 1994 when I lost it coming out of the Karussell. We pulled it straight as best we could ourselves (after being offered a free repair over xmas and being strung along until the week before the first meeting in 1995 ), and put about 3 ton of bog into the RH side. Didn't put a mark on it in 1995 apart from the standard old LF guard damage and concave taillight section, but sold it to Brad Searle who at the first meeting in 1996, fired off the main straight at LIR and did a serious pancake job on the LH side of it!! Had some good running gear in it woodduck, however I'd say by the time you got it, the shell was pretty well rooted..... Someone should have told ya about that handbrake too m8, I never had it adjusted up properly when I owned it .... Shame it had to die at Simsmetal, it had a bit of history that one. [

hi there chris...
I must say by the time I had finished with it, she was pancaked pretty well all over.. left , right, back.. but the floor was split and the left hand side was really bad so a reshell was in order. The engine was always good in it. It got to the stage where I actually approached septone for product sponsorship, but they decided it would cost them too much !!!!

#2 Ben Singo car was absolutely rooted when they bought it. I thought it was just young Ben learning initially. Then I drove it. And full apoligies to Ben straight after. Took it back to our shed for a full inspection, only to find........ She had recieved a cut and shut. New front half was from a wagon. Whoever welded it on was crosseyed, as the right hand front was up around 25mm higher. Every bushing in it was shagged. So after countless hours of preparation, we took her to the track about 3 more times to fully dial it in. Last time out we had finally got it right. I won't go into full detail about what we did with it. But next time you see it, stand at the front of the car, about 5 metres back and stare at it. It is the most oddly set up car I have ever touched, but christ it goes now. PS: Spring pads are good CD, no wonder you "fell off" the outside of turn 1 that time at QR when we were 4 wide

CD, no wonder you "fell off" the outside of turn 1 that time at QR when we were 4 wide I always thought it was one of the best handling Gemini's I'd driven!! I'd love to drive one of your good ones then if the #2 was so bad when you got it!! Was on the wheel alignment machine plenty of times, so they should have picked up the 25mm thing??? I think it is actually three pieces, new roof, wagon front , coupe rear. We went to a fair bit of trouble with the cut and shut - LD was able to get a fastest lap out of it in 1999 - 68.5 around LIR which is on the money. Dunno if it had a hit after I sold it, I vaguely remember the car copping a bit of a bashing when young Crompton had it, that may explain your 25mm. No doubt the bushes would have been rooted once I'd finished with it!! CD.

Yeah CD, Im prettr sure that car did cop a fair bit off biffo after you sold it, but I dont think it recieved another front cut. Wheel align came up equal, but castor varied quite a bit. And besides, those machines dont tell you if one side is higher than the other. And yeah, we replace the bushes after almost 2 seasons (10 meets)
Mate, you are more than welcome to come and steer one of are cars at a Friday test session before a meeting, but lots better now anyway with the Yokohamas.
I want to swing you into one of our cars for the proposed enduro at the end of the year, if your keen.
And yeh, Lauren was kicking ass in that thing. And to this day, I still reckon she is the best lady driver I have ever raced against.

Graham started with the black one, then went to the yellow one, and once he had that biffo, built the orange car from the remainder of the yellow one. Or, he was building the orange one at the same time Graham initially raced the orange car, then dummit, then Kris Walton, Kandice then bought it but didnt race it, then Peter Jenkinson bought it but didnt race it, and now Melissa Thompson owns it. Brunks, Its an old wifes tail about Mammon winning the championship with NOS in the cage. I dont honestly know if it is true or not, but wouldnt be surprised, as the Gems were on TV back then, and everyone was racing for sheepstations. Theres heaps of good old stories from that era Also, it appears all our Gemini's are whores ;D Rawky, your cage is insane man Onya guys, theres been some horn information on here so far. What other cars can you think off, or have a good story about? PS: FalconEL, upon reading my initial post again about #2, definetly no disrespect was intended towards your work on that car or anything else, old mate And I genuinely hope you do come and sit your arse in some of our cars on the Friday of the next meet. Come and drive mine, then your old girl aswell, Ill tee it up no probs, you will have a ball. And good practice for the enduro

Crashy, The more i think of it, you were right again. Fryer wrote the first black car off. Then raced the yellow one. Built the first orange one,(raced by fryer, dummit, walton and now thompson) Built or bought the new black one which is now car #27. (Cant confirm if it was built by them or not cause original logbook got lost) And at this stage owned all three. Obviously the original orange car went to Walton, the black car leased to Shane Ryding (onya Crashy) then sold to Kenny Williams and then myself (#27) and Fryer kept the yellow one, which was then painted orange for a 2 car Super Service team. Apparantly this car is now for sale.

Speaking of that, what the hell is going on with that car, Come on Scott Simpson drag it back out ;D. ( He has been concentrating on karts I believe, won a National title too) Be good to have him back in the field, or atleast the car. And the more I think of it I reckon the Emson/Chapman car was the Shule and now Conner car.

AHHHHHHHH, Then this would mean that the Blue Shule now Connor coupe was built by Shule as I expected.
So where did the Emson car end up after Chapman sold it?
And yes, young Davidson did race two cars, not sure what became of his first one. Will try to find out.

When we did the cut and shut, we didn't do it on a chassis jig or anything, so there's a fair chance she was a bit out We made sure she was stuck together OK though. Plus the thing needed a new roof after LD inverted it into the Karussell sand trap once. I meant it was a strong shell - not necessarily a straight one ;D Glad to see the old girl has been fixed properly and is now flying in Ben's hands! I'd give my left nut to have a steer in a Gemini again. I did the first couple of rounds in the Gemini in 2000 to smooth out the Sports Sedan bad habits so I could hop back in the Falcon and be smooth in that. Still the best learning and racecraft category around in my opinion. Thanks for the offer - the enduro sounds great!

Well, I've threatened the computer with a house brick, and it looks like we now have the technology to post photos! Here's some questions folks.... Here's Brucey Dummett in a rather second hand machine (I think it would have been QRDA meet 2000, after big stack under bridge). Was this the yellow Fryer machine? Here's the Brian Staples machine. Where is it now? Here is Kandice in her ex-Heffernan machine first time out at Lakeside. Was this the same car that wound up being the 81 in recent years? Sean Rose. What car is this? The Orange BRT that Rosey won the championship in? Darren Suhle, Top, the original car pre-QR concrete, what of that is now in... Bottom, one of the first times out in the car that we believe is now the Connor car. Rod Dawson, the car that made the lap record during this combined race. What was it's life story? What's the story behind these two cars? Shaun Lyall, what happened to this car? Hrmmm, interesting stuff!
